History

Wattleup was home to several market gardens in the past. They provided fresh produce to the town of Fremantle.

Since 2001, the area has been part of the Hope Valley-Wattleup development program. Several houses were knocked down to make room for industrial areas.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

At this current point in time, the industrial area is being built. It is expected that larger businesses will use the area for their factories or for warehouse storage. Many businesses are buying buildings off the plan, as construction continues to happen. It is a good spot for businesses as it is close to Fremantle.

It is expected that the area will provide many jobs for those living nearby.
