Success is a modern suburb of Western Australia with an estimated population of 4,800. It is located in the city of Cockburn and has amazing sporting facilities.

History

The town of Success is named after a ship called HMS Success. It was managed by Captain James Stirling when he visited and explored Swan River in 1827.

In 1968, the Cockburn Shire Council suggested naming the suburb Omeo after a ship that went ashore at Coogee at the turn of the century. However, that name was already used in Victoria. It wasn’t until 1973 when the name of Success was approved for the suburb.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Success is an area that keeps on growing. There are currently lots of shops and businesses around the town, as well as a community centre and schools. It has plenty of beautiful parks and is close to Coogee beach and Murdoch University.

Public transport is also excellent and includes trains and buses. The suburb is home to a good pub, netball courts, soccer fields and lots of friendly locals.
