History

The town looks its name from Noranda Park in Florida in the United States of America. It was part of the City of Swan until 2016 when it was transferred to the City of Bayswater.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The main shopping centre in the suburb is Noranda Shopping Village and it has a number of junior sporting clubs including the Noranda Hawks Football Club, Noranda Junior Cricket Club and serves as a district in the WA Netball Association. The netball association provides a number of clubs and this, in turn, supports a large number of young children from neighbouring suburbs.The town is also home to one high school and two primary schools.
