History
Formerly known as Miami, Falcon takes its name from Falcon Bay. Approval for the suburb name was confirmed on 1967. Falcon achieved gazetted status in 1968.
Visitors to Falcon will notice that many of its streets are named after yachts. In fact, the name Falcon comes from a yacht. The yacht’s crew won a silver medal in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.

Many of Falcon’s buildings use the suburbs old name. Examples include the Miami Bakehouse and Miami Plaza. The suburb offers convenient transport to its residents. Two Transperth routes regularly run through the area.
Families love to visit the Falcon Bay Reserve with their kids. Nestled between the estuary and beach, the reserve has a playground, picnic area, and toilets.
