History

The suburb is home to Bunbury Tower, a landmark that was one of the first achievements of the South West Development Commission. This commission represents efforts to decentralise government activities and provide jobs in the local area.

Bunbury Tower is known to locals as the “Milk Carton” due to its shape and it’s blue and white colour.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Blair Street links the southern and eastern suburbs of Bunbury to the CBD. It has a number of large businesses and shops lining it.

Since the late 1990s, the old lighthouse and lookout tower, located in the Marlston Hill district, has been a focus of Bunbury’s commercial and cultural growth.
