FAQs
A family-based business established in Shepparton, Victoria in 1994 by Stephen and Michelle Schneider, who are still actively involved in the business. However, the roots of the business go back three generations. Michelle’s Grandfather Arthur Gerrard, a watchmaker by trade, established Gerrard’s the Jewellers – one of Shepparton’s first jewellery stores – in 1951.
We are qualified jewellers in the areas of diamond jewellery, gemstones and precious metals. Their vast knowledge will assist you when making that special purchase - a unique diamond ring or a custom designed jewellery.
Stephen & Michelle originally traded as Shepparton Showcase Jewellers, and have established the business as a destination in the Goulburn Valley over a period of 20 years.
We can arrange valuations for insurance, jewellery design services to create that beautiful piece you've always dreamt of, jewellery repair services to fix that gorgeous heirloom you treasure, resize or remodel old jewellery to bring it back to life or simply replace your watch battery to ensure you keep moving with the times.
Showcase Jewellers is also a member of the Jewellery Association of Australia which is a national organisation governing the jewellery trade. Our philosophy, however, remains very much one of serving our local community and delivering the best possible experience we can to all our clients. No matter what you are seeking, we will always do our best to provide a quality product of exceptional value and personalised service.

As a general guide two months salary is the average however this will naturally vary from person to person. More importantly is the need to gain an understanding of the quality and style your partner desires and ensuring you get the best possible ring for your investment.
Regretfully at this point in time we do not ship to destinations outside Australia.
Showcase has gone to great measures to assure its customers that transactions taking place are doing so in a safe e-commerce environment. When you enter your credit card details you do so over a secure connection. You will see the 'closed padlock' symbol in the bottom of the browser window. This means the transmission of the data is done using 128bit encryption so no one can see it.
Generally it takes 5-10 days to receive goods however this may vary in country and regional areas. If an item is out of stock we will contact you to advise of the expected delivery date. You will have the option to cancel the order if you feel the delayed delivery does not meet your requirements.
Showcase Jewellers do not store your credit card information. This is done for security reasons so that you can place an order with us regardless of the computer you use and this further ensures security of your credit card details.
On rare occasions there may be inaccurate information displayed on our website due to human and system errors. Whilst every effort is made to minimise these errors we do acknowledge that they can occur. If a product you have ordered is unavailable we will contact you and either offer to cancel the order or let you choose a substitute product.
The four C's are known as the Carat, Cut, Colour and Clarity of a diamond. These are the attributes that a diamond is graded on.
Conflict diamonds or blood diamonds are diamonds which are traded illegally to fund conflict in war-torn areas, commonly in Central and Western Africa. Showcase Jewellers only purchases its diamonds from suppliers who adhere to the Kimberly Process and the System of Warranties. This is a written guarantee that the source which we are buying our diamonds from has obtained the diamonds legitimately and from non conflict areas.
