Roll Formed Driveways Pty Ltd is a reputable asphalt paving company providing high quality services to the Sunshine Coast and surrounding Regions. It is a privately owned and operated family business that started its operations on the Sunshine Coast back in September 1993. Over the past twenty years we have lived up to our core values of quality, integrity and high standards of workmanship. Asphalt is different than concrete. It is a mixture of aggregate & sand (95%) and bitumen (5%). Other terms used are tarmac, asphalt concrete and bitumen. It is more flexible than concrete and can be easily repaired by being reheated, re-sheeted or cut out and replaced.
This largely depends on the condition of the asphalt and the budget you have. Generally speaking, if the entire pavement is cracked or damaged and old (at least 15 to 20 years), it is best to reconstruct. In some cases, we may be able to re-sheet the pavement (place another layer on top), saving you thousands. If there is only a small pothole or you cannot afford major repairs, a smaller repair can be done.
A product applied to a crushed rock base before the asphalt is laid. It will bond the loose materials to the base, seal voids in the crushed rock to prevent moisture damage and binds the asphalt to the rock.
