History

Frederick Wecker purchased land in 1857 and named it Greenslopes. At that time the suburb was green pastures. Development began in earnest before World War 1. Many houses in Greenslopes display pre-war architecture. The local council has controls in place to protect the character of homes.

LIfestyle and Entertainment

Greenslopes is an inner city suburb popular with families and professionals. The population is diverse including many ethnicities.

Quirky cafes, great restaurants and little bars add to the vibrant atmosphere.

Despite its size, it has a community feel. The motorway offers easy access to the CBD. It is therefore popular with investors.

There are plenty of sporting facilities and parks in the suburb. Stephen’s Mountain is a large hill in the suburb. It is still covered in scrub, adding to the suburb’s leafy outlook.
