Bushland Beach is a growing suburb which is part of the local government area of the City of Townsville. It has a population of around 3,000 people but the area is developing quickly.

History

Bushland Beach is a relatively young suburb, which has been attracting new residents since the 1980s. Its beautiful beach and tree-filled landscape have made it a very popular destination for visitors and residents alike.

Development sped up when the 4-star Ocean Palms resort was built, a complex which features a stunning marina. On the beach, visitors can take part in various watersports and even have the chance to walk to a wooden shipwreck when the sea is at low tide.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Bushlands Beach is home to a gorgeous beachfront which has a number of playgrounds, barbeque shelters, a skate park and a boat ramp.

The town centre also has a shopping centre and the Peggy Banfield Park lies right at the heart of the suburb.
