Woodcroft is a suburb in the state of New South Wales located 42 kilometres west of Sydney’s central business district. It has a population of over 6,400 and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

History

The area was originally the State Brickworks in Doonside. The land was then purchased in 1989 by estate agents and the developers, L.J. Hooker. They went ahead and started building on the land in 1992. After years of construction work, Woodcroft was finally recognised as its own suburb in 1996.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Woodcroft has a small shopping mall on Richmond Road. Local services include fast food outlets, independent stores and supermarkets, as well as a doctor’s surgery and service station.

Most local people have a car as public transport services are limited. However, there are some bus services that run in the suburb.
