Pymble is a suburb in New South Wales on the upper north shore of Sydney. It is situated 16 kilometres north-west of Sydney’s central business district and has a population of over 10,500.

History

The suburb of Pymble was once lived-in by the Cammeraigal clan. They would travel from Cowan Creek to the Parramatta River via Pymble.

Pymble takes its name from a man called Robert Pymble. He was an influential man who settled in the area in the early 1800s. The town was a major supplier of timber.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

There are lots of shops and social outlets around Pymble station. The area is also home to some good schools including Pymble Public School where the famous actor, Hugh Jackman was a former student.

Pymble has lots of parks and recreation facilities that feature tennis courts and enclosed playgrounds. In addition to great sports grounds, this small suburb has many significant houses and buildings.
