Workplace Physiotherapy is part of NSW's premier multidisciplinary injury and pain management centre.
The staff of Workplace Physiotherapy has been providing injury management services to injured workers since 1990. We are regarded as an industry leader as a result of our skills, experience, qualifications and work-related outcomes. Our staff have written papers and presented at conferences and courses on the subject.

Physiotherapy

Workplace Physiotherapy advocates only the provision of evidence-based approaches to acute injury management.

Injury Prevention

Injury prevention with Workplace Physiotherapy includes pre-placement/periodic screening assessments, manual handling/injury prevention programs and functional capacity assessments.

Assessment Services

Our assessment and programs are based on research-based evidence, 20 years of experience delivering injury management programs, consultation with insurers, employers, medical and rehabilitation providers.

  • Physiotherapy: Recommended for workers who have recently sustained a musculoskeletal injury
  • Musculoskeletal: Recommended for workers between 3-26 weeks post injury when strong signs of recovery are not evident
  • Multidisciplinary: Recommended for workers from 26 weeks onwards

  • Do you accept Enhanced Primary Care plans (EPC) through Medicare?

    We accept patients who have an EPC plan formulated by their treating doctor and a referral for physiotherapy/exercise physiology. An EPC referral is only available to patients with chronic conditions. Patients must have the plan and doctor referral when they present for their first session. See your general practitioner for more information.

  • Does Medicare pay the full amount of my treatment if I have an Enhanced Primary Care plan?

    No. Patients are required to pay the full amount of the consult to Workplace Physiotherapy initially. Medicare will refund the money into your bank account, generally within the next 24 hours. Please contact Medicare to discuss the refund rate applicable to you.

  • Can I refer myself for treatment if I have a current worker's compensation claim?

    Yes, when you make the appointment be ready with your insurer details handy including- insurance company- claim number- contact details for your case manager.
